Award-winning broadway performer Laura Osnes will perform with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir this summer for the annual Pioneer Day concert on Friday and Saturday, July 17-18, 2015, at 8:00 PM in the Conference Center.

Osnes is known for her broadway role in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. Ron Jarrett, the choir president spoke of the excitement of scheduling Laura Osnes by saying,

Last year Prince Charming in the form of Santino Fontana made his debut on the Conference Center stage so it only seems fitting to welcome Cinderella…We’re so glad the glass slipper fit with her busy schedule.

Osnes, who was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Leading Actress, also expressed her enthusaism to sing with the Choir. “This will be my first time singing with the choir,” Osnes said, “I am very excited.”

Past guest artists for this event include Santino Fontana (2014), Nathan Pacheco and Lindsey Stirling (2013), Katherine Jenkins (2012), and Linda Eder and Brian Stokes Mitchell (2011).

To obtain the free tickets required to attend the concert go to Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s website, call 801-570-0080 or go to the Conference Center ticket office. There will be a standby line at the north gate of Temple Square each evening for last-minute seating for those without tickets.
