The Mormon Minute recaps news that’s happening in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This week, we cover: this year’s Christmas campaign put out by the Church, the re dedication of the Montreal, Quebec temple, and Lexi Walker’s record deal.

The Church launched its Christmas initiative, “A Savior is Born,” which includes two beautifully produced videos, printables, gifs, and an advent calendar. The campaign will once again appear on taxi cabs, billboards, and video screens in Times Square. The Church hopes members will share the message online throughout the month and that they will set new records with number of video views. Last year’s video reached over 33 million viewers!

0:33 – Montreal Temple Dedication

President Henry B. Eyring rededicated the Montreal, Quebec temple after over a year of extensive renovations. The temple was first dedicated in 2000 and this year marks its 15 year anniversary. The temple serves 11,000 members in Quebec and Ottawa.

0:48 – Lexi Walker Signs with Sony

And Lexi Walker, the young singer who entered the spotlight after her cover of “Let it Go” with Alex Boye’ and One Voice Children’s Choir, which reached over 73 million views, has released her first Christmas album, and announced her signing with Sony Portrait Records.
