“No Poor Among Them” is a humanitarian organization established and run by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was founded two years ago, but yesterday No Poor Among Them, also known by the acronym NPAT, launched a new website. The Huffington Post reports that the NPAT website features essays and podcasts devoted to service. There is even a quiz that site users can take that will evaluate an individual’s interests, skills, and availability and help them to find service opportunities in their community.
NPAT co-founder Jason Stout shared the following:
“We truly believe that if we can dissect these great global needs into bite-sized projects, organized into geographic location and customized to personal interest, we can draw in many people that are new to volunteering and humanitarianism, and who perhaps don’t necessarily fit the stereotype of the impassioned volunteer.”
