Cute 1980s LDS kid winking

I don’t know how I’ve gone my whole life without having seen this video before. These kids are hilarious.

In T.C. Christenson’s 1981 filmThe Mouths of Babes,” Christenson asks Latter-day Saint children some basic questions about God and the teachings of the LDS Church. Their responses are adorable, hysterical and in some cases slightly creepy (I’m looking at you, kid with the red vest and tie).

If you haven’t seen it, check it out below. The introductory hymn is a bit lengthy but don’t get discouraged. The hilarity begins after the first minute.

Christenson: “Do you say your prayers at night?”

Kid: “Mhm.”

C: “What does that do?”

K: “My dad doesn’t got (sic) mad at me.”

Christenson: “What does fasting do for you?”

Kid: “It just makes me hungry.”

Christenson: “Are you gonna go on a mission?”

Kid: “I’ll go if my mom goes with me.”

Christenson: “What about bad people, what happens to them?”

Kid: “They get spanked.”

Anyway, I got a good laugh out of this. If you did too, consider giving it a solid share.
