  1. Why a vineyard? The Chapter heading says,"Jacob quotes Zenos relative to the allegory of the tame and wild olive trees—They are a likeness of Israel and the Gentiles-" but the chapter talks about a vineyard rather than an Olive Grove and/or an Olive Orchard... " 3 For behold, thus saith the Lord, I will liken thee, O house of aIsrael, like unto a tame bolive tree, which a man took and nourished in his cvineyard; and it grew, and waxed old, and began to decay." Jacob 5:3 Jacob 5* I know that The Book of Mormon is true...:) Thanks for your help!!!
  2. ...But behold, I, Nephi, will show unto you ..., to make them mighty even unto the power of ddeliverance. 1 Nephi 1:20 This is the great promise of The Book of Mornon and that is,..".that the tender cmercies of the Lord are over all those whom he hath chosen, because of their faith" God loves his children and he wants all of us to return to him and be blessed... He has give us The Book of Mormon for our day...to help...to inspire us-to lead us home but not apart from The Church... This happens through repantance, the hope of all sinners... David could pray...Psalms 51:1 " Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions." This is our hope -This is what I would call a gateway verse that opens the whole Book Of Mormon to us... Alma 34:18 " Yea, cry unto him for mercy; for he is mighty to save." Let us Hope in God.
  3. Hi, Althou ,It is May 1, 2011...I shall try to follow this plan. I know that The Book of Mormon is true...I know it by experience,I have felt The Holy Ghost as I read it... I believe all of it to be true...It is the very word of God as true today as it was when Nephi took pen to plate and began The Record... It is a true as when Mormon compeled and edited The Recod...or Moroni buried The Record or when Joseph Smith translate The Book of Mormon...
  4. You might wonder about the title"The Day I Meet Joseph Smith" Well, it happened on this wise... I moved to Bangor, Me...I was all alone in a city that I knew not... Those first years were hard... I had worked on a farm but that feel apart... I went to the Bangor Area Homeless shelter for 6months... Then i went to a group home and I was there for over a year... It was at this time I was able to get my retirement and Socical Security. Then with the help of Section 8 ,I was able to get my own apartment... I might someone through the group home who was Mormon..He gave me the video"The Resturation... I think well that nice for you... I watched the DVD several times...I never dreamed of even looking into The Church... One day, I was walking down toward the YMCA and I ran into 2 Elders... They said What do you know about The Chrurch... Well, all I knew was the DVD... I retold them the story... Well, Elder Jenson told me he knew the actor that was in that DVD... HE said he would be glad to bring him if I took a lesson... They came; the lesson was good.My heart was warmed... But where was this promised actor...so I asked and Elder Harding said ,"It is me" Elder Harding was on a mission and I did not (at First0 See the young Joseph Smith... Elder Harding was the best-He had a way of reaching my heart and that helped me to believe... I never saw Elder Jenson after the ist. lesson... Then Elder Jackson came... Later Elder Harding went on to a new area... I was baptized by Elder Allen and Elder Jackson... I felt bad that Elder Harding was not there for my baptizeum... So now you know my tale...
  5. Do notgive up-Keep on trying... Paul comforted The Belivers in Romans Chapter- Romans 8 1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Paul later wrote in Chapter 8 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. God loves you.He is your father. He is on your side a you learn and go...
