The person who wrote that review is complaining about how few women and "people of color" there are in the film. ...Never mind the fact that the involved military units were comprised of white adult males to begin with. So it might be more of an acknowledgment that such historically uninformed people exist, although another sentence indicating the reasons for said lack of diversity wouldn't be amiss.
