By way of information

Last Thursday after weeks of negotiation and speculation, the leader of the minority New Zealand First party decided that he would support the Labor Party in a coalition to form the new government in New Zealand. The leader of the Labour Party, Jacinda Ardern, who only became the leader less than 2 months before the election, will now be Prime Minister. She was raised as a Latter-day Saint but left the church in 2005. I'm not sure if she is still on the church records, but if she is, I believe she would be the first ever Latter-day Saint head of state.

I've heard that she is related to Elder Ian Ardern who was called as a Seventy in 2011. In July this year he was called to be second counsellor in the Pacific Area Presidency, with has its headquarters in New Zealand.
